  • Learn about upcoming events, academic dates, and important information at Rensselaer.

  • First-year students and Seniors, we want to take this opportunity to solicit your feedback on your Rensselaer experience. You will be receiving an email asking you to complete the National Survey for Student Engagement (NSSE). This email was sent on February 13 from (nsse@nssesurvey.org). We invite you to take a few minutes to reflect on your academic and co-curricular (Student Life and beyond) experiences. You are in the best position to provide feedback to help us enhance the Institute.

  • The Frederick M. Nussbaum ’30 Memorial Award for Outstanding Volunteerism is an opportunity to recognize an outstanding Rensselaer student who is currently a junior.

The Nussbaum Award shall be granted to an outstanding Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute junior in recognition of her/his volunteer activities at Rensselaer, or civic involvement in bettering the community in and around Rensselaer. The recipient will receive an award in their Senior year.

  • You'll want to pay special attention to the new Excused Absence process, information about applying for graduate school funding, and a special award for juniors, the Nussbaum Award. More information below.

  • We have officially moved our process to request excused absences online. That means no more coming into our office each time--you can do it from the comfort of your warm room. As a result of feedback from the Senior Survey from the class of 2019 and subsequent focus groups, Student Success has moved the excused absence process online. Students are no longer required to come to our office and may, instead complete an online form and upload documentation from anywhere. For more details, visit our website.
